NAAC – TOWARDS QUALITY ENHANCEMENT
The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) conducts assessment and accreditation of Higher Educational Institutions (HEI). NAAC evaluates the institutions for its conformance to the standards of quality in terms of its performance related to the educational processes and outcomes, curriculum coverage, teaching-learning processes, faculty, research, infrastructure, learning resources, organization, governance, financial well being, and student services. The quality enhancement is a continuous process; the NAAC proposes that every accredited institution should establish an Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) as a post-accreditation quality sustenance measure. By realizing the importance of the goals of quality enhancement and sustenance, our college has constituted Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) on 30th Sept. 2005 to ensure the quality in every activities of the College.

The prime objective of IQAC is to develop a system for conscious, consistent & catalytic improvement in the overall performance of Institution. All the curricular, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities conducted in the College are planned by IQAC and are executed through various committees of the College under the supervision of IQAC.
After establishment of IQAC in the College, the first achievement/milestone in this direction was that the College in the first cycle of accreditation received B++ level by NAAC in 2005. The achievement of this accreditation was due to our successful endeavour towards reaching our vision i.e. “To be the premier law college in the state by achieving a high order of excellence in teaching and training. To be the first choice of student seeking education in law”. Again we went through the second cycle of Accreditation wherein we secured “B” grade in 2011.
Now the College is in the process of third cycle of accreditation. Every year Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) of IQAC is sent to NAAC Bangalore, since after the first accreditation.
Functions of the Cell
- Development and application of quality benchmarks/parameters for various academic and administrative activities of the institution.
- Facilitating the creation of a learner-centric environment conducive to quality education and faculty maturation to adopt the required knowledge and technology for participatory teaching and learning process.
- Documentation of the various programmes/activities aiding to quality improvement.
- Arrangements for feedback /response from students, parents and other stakeholders on quality-related institutional processes.
- Preparation of the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) as per guidelines and parameters of NAAC, to be submitted to NAAC.
